The Inspirations Publishers, a media hub based in Jos made true its commitment to promote academic excellence and advancing the cause of quality education which remains one of the top priorities of the United Nations sustainable development goals.
The media outfit in its bit to support education earlier this week paid the tuition fees of three winners of an essay competition. It will be recalled that Inspirations Publishers in collaboration with the Berom Youth Movement (BYM) Heipang district, had in 2021 organized an essay competition for students in secondary schools around Heipang and its environs. The competition which received entries from several schools had three students emerge as winners.
The recipients, Maureen Pius and James Dadur both SS1 students of Living Spring Academy Heipang alongside Jessica Boniface of Preye Primary and Secondary School who emerged winners, had their school fees paid at their various schools as part of the scholarship award offered by the media outfit.
Presenting the scholarship awards to the deserving students, the Chief Executive Officer of Inspiration Publishers, Dr. Solomon Chollom, through the Administrative Secretary, Mr Kingsley Obeta, encouraged the students to remain focused and work hard towards earning better opportunities in the future, he further appreciated the teachers for grooming the students and urged them to do more in this regard.
Speaking on-behalf of the parents of the awardees, Mr. Pius, a father to one of the recipients expressed gratitude over the kind gesture of the initiative, he further promised to continually support, encourage and provide an enabling environment for the wards as they continue their quest for academic excellence.
Mr. Obeta, also hinted that Inspirational Publishers’ annual essay competition for the year 2022 will be flagged off soon for participants to sign up. He encouraged the recipients to work harder and do even better in their next outing.
