News just tricking in about the just concluded PDP primaries for House of Assembly members confirms that several of the results have so far been declared. 

In Jos North West – Yakubu Choji the current member representing the zone (and Chairman house committee on Budget matters) was returned overwhelmingly and would therefore be the aspirant for the PDP.

In Jos North North – Alh. Auwalu Haruna won the primaries in unanimous fashion, while Hon. Titus Alams (the current speaker), equally won his seat to vie under the PDP.

In Pankshin South, a tight race between Istifanus Mwansat and two other candidates was rift -ViewPointNigeria is currently speaking to delegates on ground and shall bring an update shortly.

News just tricking in about the just concluded PDP primaries for House of Assembly members today, confirms that several of the results have so far been declared. 

In Jos North West – Yakubu Choji the current member representing the zone (and Chairman house committee on Budget matters) was returned overwhelmingly, he beat two other contestant, Christie Nyam and Philip Adik -another candidate, Pam Dung had earlier stepped down for Yakubu Choji ahead of the election and as such did not contest.

Speaking to ViewPointNigeria’s correspondent after the declaration of the election results, Hon. Yakubu Choji thanked God for the priviledge of being returned by his constituents. He said, he felt the weight of their endorsement and that he does not take that lightly. He promised, that if he becomes a principal officers in the House, he’d consolidate the gains he has delivered by expanding on scholarships for under privileged children etc.

Unconfirmed results however suggest that Istifanus Mwansat the former speaker may have won the election -beating Boniface by a narrow margin of one vote.

In Riyom, Hon. Daniel Dem (the incumbent House Majority Leader) and member representing Riyom Constituency has been declared party flag bearer. He beat two other contestants by a wide margin.
