The member representing Jos East/South of Plateau State in the Federal House of representatives, Honourable Bitrus Kaze of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has denied signing an impeachment notice for President Goodluck Jonathan.

Kaze who posted on facebook said that it wasn’t true that he alongside his colleagues from Plateau state signed the purported notice while adding that he has not seen the notice and will not give a nod to it even if approached.

Kaze who posted on facebook said that it wasn’t true that he alongside his colleagues from Plateau state signed the purported notice while adding that he has not seen the notice and will not give a nod to it even if approached.

The lawmaker who is the leader of the Plateau caucus in the lower house stated that he was not aware of any honourable member from the state who supported the move as he would have been informed.

Similarly, the member representing Mangu/Bokkos of Plateau state in the lower chamber made a similar assertion on Facebook. Honourable Jonathan Aminu stated that over 95% of those who are alleged to have signed the impeachment are die hard supporters of President Jonathan.

Aminu also denied signing the notice and said that impeachments are not done on Facebook but that there are procedures and guidelines to be followed of which every member is aware. He added that those who falsified member’s names on the list should be called to order.

The PDP lawmaker added that his constituents were fully behind President Jonathan and called on Nigerians to support Jonathan as he transforms Nigeria.
