News available to ViewPointNigeria indicates that INEC will conduct a bye-election on Saturday, February 11, to fill the vacant seat in the Langtang South Constituency in Plateau State.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director Voter Education and Publicity, INEC, Mr Osaretin Imahireyereobo, said that only two of the three political parties that contested the 2015 election would feature in the bye-election.
He said the two political parties, which will feaure in the upcoming election are APC and Mega Progressives Peoples Party (MPPP) as PDP and its candidate have been disqualified.
PDP and its candidate were disqualified after the Federal High Court uncovered evidence which showed that the candidate was an ex convict
ViewPointNigeria reports that as contained in the statement there will be 400 adhoc drawned from NYSC, tertiary institutions and INEC, who will conduct the election to be supervised by FCT Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC).
INEC said that the election would hold in 68 polling units and 28 voting points.
