Include referendum clause in Nigeria’s constitution – Hon. Dachung Bagos

The Member Representing Jos South/ Jos East Federal Constituency, Dachung Bagos, has called for a referendum clause to be included in the Nigerian constitution.
Hon. Bagos made this known on Channels Television’s morning show, Sunrise daily of 7th October, 2020. The morning show discussed the topic: Growing Agitations Amidst Increasing Insecurity Situation “

The first- time lawmaker also added his voice on the National call for the restructuring of Nigeria. Notable among the calls was the Saturday, 3rd October, 2020 comment of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) for a debate on true federalism.
“It is either we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up,” Mr. Adeboye opined.

However, the preacher’s comment as well as many others’ didn’t sit well with Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, who described described the call as “unpatriotic outburst.”

As needed as the discuss is, it is even more imperative that the nation’s youth are carried along.

Hon. Bagos also decried the gross marginalisation of his Constituents at the last AirForce recruitment exercise. “No single name from my Constituency was given a slot,” the legislator said. “If this county isproperly restructured, we won’t have to go round lobbying for such slots for our people.”
