House of Assembly Aspirant calls for the setting up of Civilian JTF in Plateau State.

House of Assembly Aspirant for Barkin Ladi Constituency of Plateau State Pharmacist John Ezekiel Chun has call on Governor Simon Lalong to collaborate with the Security Agencies toward setting up a Civilian JTF in all the crisis affected communities of the State.

Chun who is also a Youth activist stated this in a Press Statement signed and issued to Journalists in Jos on Friday said the action to his mind, if taken will put an end to the harassment of the various community youths who spend all nights watching over their hamlets helplessly.

“In the face of continues widespread insecurity in plateau, I will strongly recommend that govt and security agencies should immediately set up local and officially recognized civilian JTF in all affected communities”.

“This call is conceived out of genuine concern to address the multifaceted aggression faced by our people from the aggressors at night and security agents by day.

“It’s illogical, for a people who are striving to defend their territories with bare hands and sticks, to turn out to be victims in the hands of agents after suffering brutality from killer herdsmen.

The aspiring Lawmaker also recommend the immediate raid of communities harbouring criminal elements, saying the action can lead to recovery of light weapons used to terrorise our people.

He however urged all Plateau State Citizens to pray for his Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau state Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong in other to be proactive in handling security issues of the State.
