Hon. Simon Mwadkwon Appreciation Tour Unites the People of Attakar Riyom LGA, Plateau State

The appreciation tour of the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon PhD to the 21 Federal Wards in the Constituency has produced a fruitful unity and peace outcome in Attakar.

The visit to Attakar Community was an eye opener on destroyed infrastructures, Houses and extremely bad road network which worsens the plight of the agrarian community.

The visit will also afford authorities to look at possible urgent and immediate ways of intervention.

The Federal Lawmaker and his entourage defied the rains and muddy roads in which their cars were stuck to visit Attakar Federal Ward.

The visit promoted unity and peaceful coexistence as it brought the Aten, Attakar and Fulani together which in the past was impossible on account of the attacks, killings and burning of houses which gave rise to suspicion and distrust among the people in the community.

This unity was visible and cemented with the presence of the President of Aten Youth Movement, that of Attakar, Fulani and Berom.

The Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon PhD admonished the people to accept the path of peace, unity and live harmoniously together putting the ugly past behind them.

He said God didn’t make a mistake for creating people with diverse ethnicity and religious beliefs.

He said he has raised a motion on the need for the Federal Government and its agencies to urgently address the humanitarian crisis being experienced by the people by rebuilding their houses, resettling them and assisting them with funds to start live afresh.

He said he is committed empowering the people, executing people-oriented projects and enacting laws that will have direct impacts on the people.

The people appreciated him for visiting them despite the rough, muddy road and rains.

They also appreciated him for fostering unity, peace and harmonious living among the people.
They said his visit and peace building efforts have brought back confidence among the people.

They said the visit was significant to them and demonstration of his credible and visionary leadership.
They commended him for having the people at heart and his empathy.

They said his election is an attestation of the trust the people have in him and admonished him to impact lives and the society.

They promised to continue to support him and pray for him all the time to excel.
