The Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon Ph.D has called on government at all levels to accord greater attention to the education sector considering its importance to the populace and Nation.

According to the Legislator “Any Nation that desire to progress and compete favorably well with the rest of the World must invest hugely in the education sector”

He hinted that the importance of education to the citizens and Nation cannot be overstressed saying as a Lawmaker, he has prioritized education and will continue to give it the attention needed to uplift the quality.

He made the disclosure while Commissioning a Block of Six (6) Classrooms at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Bible School Foron in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

He said the project is in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people and to address the infrastructural deficit in the citadel of learning.

“I will continue to provide more infrastructural projects across the federal constituency to address the deficit being witnessed.

He urged the Management of the School to put the structure to effective use in line with the purpose of the project.

COCIN President, Prof. Dachollom Datiri while commissioning the project lauded the Lawmaker for the infrastructural intervention to the School and for the credible representation he is providing.

Management of the School also commended the Lawmaker saying the project will make the upgrading of the School to National Certificate in Education (NCE)/Diploma possible.

The commissioning was attended by the PDP State Chairman, Hon. Chris Hassan who was flanked by the State Executive Committee, State Legislators from Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Jos South, Bassa, Jos North West, other stakeholders, women and youths.
