It was a day of great joy and jubilation in Bum, Sopp, Bangai and Wereng all in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State as the Member Federal House of Representatives for Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency and PDP Senate Candidate Plateau North, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon Ph.D commissioned and handed over Four (4) projects he executed to benefitting Communities on Saturday 18th June, 2022.

While commissioning the projects, the Federal Legislator appreciated the people for giving him the mandate to represent them and for also finding him worthy of the PDP Plateau North Senate Ticket for the 2023 General Elections.
The Lawmaker said he is committed to attracting more people-oriented projects to the people and providing them with credible leadership.

While speaking on the importance of education and what informed his decision to execute the projects, the Federal Lawmaker told the people that the best legacy they can bequeath to the children is quality education.
He said he executed the projects to provide conducive learning environment for the future leaders who are his priority as well as address the infrastructural deficit being experienced by the people who have shown great passion for education.
He urged the People to put the facilities to effective use and make sure they guard them jealously. He also admonished them to be peaceful at all times saying nothing meaningful can be achieved in a hostile environment without peace.

“We must look at ourselves from the perspective of humanity, accept one another and live in peace for the progress of the Nation irrespective of our ethnic, religious & political differences” he said.
He called for Unity in the PDP in order to get rid of APC that has brought untold hardships to the Nation.
He charged Nigerians to vote massively for the PDP in future elections.

“PDP is our brand and we will keep promoting it; we must be focused in restoring the lost glory of our dear State & Nation” he said.

In their separate remarks, the District Head of Ganawuri, His Royal Highness Da Yakubu Chaimang, Gwom Rwey Bachi His Royal Highness Da Gyang Dalyop and Gwom Rwey Riyom His Royal Highness Da Samuel Jok commended the Lawmaker for the infrastructural interventions and for always having the people at heart.
They said the lawmaker is known for his sterling performance since he was the Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council.
They lauded his efforts in attracting gigantic projects, empowering numerous persons and providing jobs for the people.

Plateau State People’s Democratic Party Chairman who was represented by the State Deputy Chairman, Nde Capt. Bitrus Golen (Rtd) who was accompanied by the Plateau South PDP Vice Chairman Hon. Simon Domle; Hon. Davou Baget, Hon. Musa Agah Member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constitiency and other stakeholders who spoke lauded the Lawmaker for his doggedness and the exceptional leadership he is providing.
They said his performance and vision for the people were responsible for his election as the PDP Senate Candidate Plateau North.
They urged the people to vote for the Lawmaker and other Candidates of the Party in the 2023 General Elections.

The projects commissioned were Block containing three (3) classrooms each in Bum, Sopp, Bangai and Wereng Communities. The project at Bum has modern toilet facilities.
