In an election which started around 9:30 am, Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong -the lawmaker representing Dengi Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly has been re-elected as deputy Speaker for the 9th Assembly.

Yipmong who was deputy speaker during the Tenure of erstwhile speaker, Joshua Madaki was re-elected unopposed in the House.

Yipmong is a surveyor by training, from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, he also attended GSS Langtang for his secondary education.

Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba, a 33 year old first time lawmaker was elected Speaker.
