The APC Senatorial Candidate and the immediate past Plateau SSG, Da. Hon. Rufus Bature has withdrawn his petition challenging the declaration of Sen. Barr. I. D. Gyang as the winner of the Senatorial Election Plateau North by INEC at the National Assembly Tribunal Sitting in Jos the Plateau State Capital.

Hon. Bature has earlier challenged the declaration of the Senator representing Plateau North, Barr. I. D. Gyang as Winner even when he won with a wide margin of over 90,000 votes.

Council to the Petitioner, M. S. Salihu Esq today filed a motion for the withdrawal of the petition which was granted and dismissed by the Tribunal’s Presiding Judge, Justice T. N Nzeukwu.

H. N. Uguawala Esq leading a team of lawyers for Sen I.D. Gyang including Niri Darong Esq, expressed satisfaction in the withdrawal.

Lawyers who stood for PDP in the case were D N Dashe Esq and Munir Abdullahi Esq.

Senator Gyang has welcome the development attributing the glory to God and reaffirming his determination to uphold and deliver on the precious mandate given to him by the people of Plateau North.
