The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has begun searching for a credible replacement for Senator Joshua Dariye.
Dariye (Plateau Central) was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment after a prolonged legal battle with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which means he won’t be available to contest the election in 2019.
And though he has appealed the judgment, the party is doubtful if he will win the case.
It was gathered that the party has already met at caucus level where names of capable candidates have been tabled and sorted, with two making the final list – State Chairman Latep Dabang and Deputy Governor Sunni Tyoden.
Hon. Latep Dabang is from Pankshin council while Tyoden is from Mangu, both in Plateau Central.
