In what can best be described as an unprecedented gesture in Plateau State, Nigeria and Africa, the Member representing Jos South Constituency at the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Dalyop Fom popularly known as “Banga by Nature” has engaged 25 youth across the five (5) Districts in Jos South LGA and will be paying them directly from his entire monthly salary.

Hon. Fom made this disclosures in Jos on Saturday.

The State Lawmaker said that the painstaking decision was to reduce unemployment in his constituency.

He said that the 25 youths who were from the five districts of his constituency would be working in his constituency office as Liaison Officers with their Districts.

“I took this painstaking decision in a bid to contribute my own quota in curbing the worrisome issue of unemployment.

“This implies that rather than using my earnings for my personal needs and benefit, I chose to use it to fill those of my constituents,’’ he said.

Hon. Fom said that he would continue to initiate ideas and programmes that would impact on the lives of his constituents.

Hon. Fom Gwottson said what informed his decision is his commitment to the welfare of the people in order for them to live meaningful and purposeful lives.
