Honourable Member Representing Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Beni Lar on Thursday urged Nigerians to remain hopeful as we journey through 60 years of nationhood.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos .

She said that we face many challenges as nation, but i believe we can overcome.

The statement reads that I felicitate with the President Of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, the Senate President, Hon. Ahmad Lawal, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila,the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, the people of Langtang North/ Langtang south federal constituency, the good people of Plateau State and indeed, all Nigerians on the celebration of Nigeria’s 60th Independence day Celebration

Hon Lar is hopeful that though the nation is still striving to get its footing at 60, the country has recorded significant improvements.

Lar advised Nigerians to have the spirit of nationhood, and to think of what they can do for the country, noting that the major challenge in the country is getting Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of nationhood.

She however noted that Nigeria has done quite well in its 60th anniversary, adding that the country has grown and matured as a nation, while Nigerians have imbibed the right values.
