HON BENI LAR FELICITATES WITH HON UBANDOMA LAVEN ON HIS 1YR IN OFFICE

Member Representing Langtang North / South Federal Constituency & Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology, Hon Beni Lar has felicitated with the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven on his 365 days in office.

Hon Beni Lar described Hon Laven as a young visionary leader who within the span of a year has improved the fortune of Langtang North Local Government through his transformation agenda.

Hon Beni Lar lauded the achievements of Hon Ubandoma to include;

👉 Remodeling/ Modification of the council chairman office with state of the art furnishings including;

👉 Gps enabled CCTV security cameras in the council secretariat.

👉 provision of 2nos 20,000 litres overhead tanks to supply water to the secretariat & the PHC clinic opposite the secretariat as well as drilling of 2nos dedicated solar powered boreholes at the secretariat & PHC clinic.

👉 furnishing & equiping of directors offices with desktop computers & printers

👉 Drilling of 20 hand pump boreholes in the 18 electoral wards.

👉 Payment of CSDP counterpart fund for 8 communities in Langtang, drainages for erosion control have been made in some communities & boreholes as a result of this.

👉 Jamb registration for 200 candidates

👉 Provision of a patrol van to VGN Langtang North chapter

👉 Established the first local government owned FM radio station in the state fully equipped & awaiting final inspection by the NBC

👉 Established the Zamko cattle
market

👉 Purchased 2 heavy duty trucks & two tractors for commercial purposes which is already improving the IGR of the council.

👉 Facilitated the establishment of the Langtang North Open University Study Center.

👉 Most proactive Local Government Council Chairman in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

👉 Lobbied for the reactivation of the Langtang North Local Government water board which the Governor graciously granted & for the first time in over 4yrs pipe borne water was supplied in the Local Government.

👉 Lobbied for the rehabilitation of the Kanam – Langtang North route through the state government.

👉 Operated a unity government where the chairman aides are appointed across political parties & ethnicities including Igbos & Yorubas.

👉 Provided palliatives to help cushion the effect of COVID-19 to the poor of the poorest.

👉 Made donations to the Nigerian legion to help them establish a permanent secretariat.

Hon Beni Lar said these achievements within such a short period has only proven that tarok nation is indeed blessed with son’s who are indeed passionate about developing itarok.

Hon Beni Lar while praying for God’s guidance & protection urged Hon Ubandoma not to get distracted but remain ever focused on the task ahead of him, she also encouraged him to accept criticism & draw out lessons from them.
