Jos North – The Hausa Fulani community living around “Kwanan Shagari” in Jos North Local Government area of Plateau State have come out to vehemently rebuff insinuations, that they were habouring foreign assassins who were saddled  with the responsibility of killing the honourable member representing the Jos South/Jos East federal constituency, Hon. Bitrus Kaze.  

In a statement issued by one of the leaders of the community, Mustapha Ibrahim Bako, the statement said: “We are disturbed and saddened by the content of a paid advertorial signed by one Jonathan Pwajok and Azi Bulus, titled ‘Kidnapping / Assassination: (sic), A vista of terror on the Plateau'”. We wish to state categorically that the said assassins were not from our community and we do not know them.

Mustapha Bako further described the allegations against the community as false and bogus, averring that such claims if not refuted could cause immense damage to the fragile peace in the State.

 He then called on security operatives to investigate the matter in order to calm nerves and put the matter to an end.
