Group operating under the aegis of First Samaritan Love foundation (FISALOV) has commended the Officers of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the Special Military Task force in charge of security in Plateau, Bauchi and Southern Kaduna for the arrest of some notorious cattle rustlers and the recovery of more than 100 stolen cows in Plateau State during the week.
Executive Director of the group, Takalis Dandaura made this known during a stakeholder’s meeting in Plateau State over the weekend.
He expressed delight at the commitment of the sustained operation that has continued to prevent breakdown of law and order.
“We are very pleased with the renewed vigour, professionalism and dedication of the Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Maj Gen Anthony Atolagbe and his men since he took over the leadership of the special operations.

“His dogged commitment has led to countless success recorded within this short period. We are actually surprised that security agencies can be this active and professionally-oriented.
“The recent recovery of these stolen herd cattle and arrests of suspects has prevented a looming conflict of unknown dimensions. For this, we say we are very grateful for the effort of the security agencies and further charge them to do more.
“The state has had its fair share of unresolved cases of cattle rustling with series of accusations and counter accusations in the past. The beef among locals has not augured well for the peace and security of the state, and this is why we continue to support the security agencies.
“We are however calling on the Special Operations to as a matter of urgency, join the fight against drugs abuse in the state as it is contributory to a large percentage of the crimes committed on the plateau and other parts of the country” he stated.
