GREENFIELD STUDENTS; AMB. JOHN POFI CALLS FOR INTERVENTION FROM INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES

The spate of killing and kidnapping in the country has finally exposed the true state of our nation Nigeria.

There is no doubt that there is no leadership in the country, the president has been quite for too long which explains why one may not be far from the truth to say that Nigeria is a failed state and is fast drifting into the state of anarchy where being law abiding will be an offence, where hoodlums will take over the streets and hooliganism will be the norm.

It is now apparent that the the nation can no longer protect the lives and property of its citizens.

I’m writing with tears in my heart and my eyes to plead with the international communities to wade in and save the lives of the innocent Greenfield University students who have been held captive for days.

The ultimatum given by their captives and as at today, nothing has been heard.

The United States of America, United Kingdom and United Nations respectively needs to come in and rescue these young men before it is too late.

A nation that is focused and knows where it is going, cannot abandoned its human resource like that without doing anything not even talking about a very serious issue like this.

While we pray for their safe release, all our international partners need to come to our aid.

This is my candid plea.
