Hon. John Akans, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Plateau State on Inter-party Relations has hinted that despite the provoking attacks and killings of innocent and peace-loving Citizens by the enemies of Plateau State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s commitment to the welfare and security of the Citizens remain unshakable.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to this medium, Hon. Akans said the Governor will not distract in his mission and vision for the State.
His full text reads:
As the executive Governor of Plateau state Barr Caleb Mutfwang and the entire sane of the
people of not only plateau state but Nigeria and beyond strongly condemn the senseless attacks on innocent and peace loving people, which have resulted in the loss of precious lives, the people of Plateau state deeply join our leader the peoples Governor Barr Caleb Mutfwang to sympathise and share in the pains of recent deliberate and coordinated night attack on innocent and defenceless people in both Bassa and Bokkos. These acts of violence is nothing but a gross disregard for human lives and dignity in our own country and state.
In the midst of this disheartening situation it’s rather unfortunate that people will begin to ask question regarding the statement of minister of humanitarian affairs Prof Nantawe yilwada on his radion discussion with Samson Omale about having the capacity to put presure on the state who boasted on the 22nd March 2025 by 8:15 on 93.7 rythm fm while discussing with Samson Omale the Hon minister said that “he has the capacity to put pressure on the state” . With this outburst and disturbing manifestation in Bokkos and Bassa resulting to significant losses of lives and property one will be tempted to conclude that it might be part of a large effort to destabilize the state by the opposition, despite the Government’s efforts of promoting peace, understanding, and cordial relationship among the citizens in the State.
But the assurance is that, we will continue to stand firm with the Governor as a people and government in our commitment to the welfare and security of our people. Despite the recent provocative attacks by terrorists, we remain resolute in our determination to protect and serve our communities.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the government of Plateau State are very passionate and commited to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens. Is a priority.HE will continue to work tirelessly to address the root causes of insecurity and promote peaceful coexistence in our state.
Our hearts go out to the families of the victims.
We hope to provide all necessary support and assistance to those affected by these heinous acts of this challenges.
We call on all citizens to remain united in the face of these challenges. Together, we can overcome the forces of division and hatred that seek to destabilize our state.
We assure the people of Plateau State that this administration under the leadership Governor Mutfwang is committed to its goals and vision, and will not be swayed, deterred by criticism, nor distracted, the Governor’s broadcast is implies with a sense of resilience and determination to stay focused on his objectives, despite challenges or obstacles, he will continue to work towards creating a safe and prosperous environment for all citizens.
