Governor Mutfwang Praises Prof. Chris Kwaja on His Advancement to Professor of International Relations

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined numerous associates and well-wishers in congratulating Prof. Chris Kwaja on his elevation to the rank of Professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State.

Describing the promotion as well deserved, Governor Mutfwang in a congratulatory message signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs Dr. Gyang Bere, expressed confidence that this academic achievement would further enhance Prof. Kwaja’s capacity to provide strategic guidance on national and global affairs, while continuing his invaluable service to Plateau State and beyond.

The Governor noted that Prof. Kwaja is a distinguished political scientist with profound expertise in International Relations, and commended his strategic foresight, intellectual depth, and contributions to policymaking and governance. He said that Prof. Kwaja’s work has significantly shaped development policies and the political landscape across Africa.

The Governor lauded Prof. Kwaja’s unwavering dedication to excellence, highlighting his resilience in personal and professional development despite his demanding schedule.

He further praised his commitment to research, humanitarian service, and impactful leadership, particularly during his tenure as Director General for Research and Planning, as well as Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Plateau State.

Governor Mutfwang also acknowledged Prof. Kwaja’s strategic role as Zonal Coordinator for the North East region in conducting the National Survey on Small Arms, Experiences of Armed Violence, and Perception of Security in Nigeria, a project undertaken by the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru and the Presidential Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PRESCOM). This, he noted, was a testament to Prof. Kwaja’s dedication to peace, security, and national development, which ultimately earned him this prestigious academic elevation.
