Plateau Regeneration Group on wednesday refuted media reports that the Plateau house of assembly members yesterday stopped the screening of Commissioner-nominees of Governor Simon Lalong and shut the House of Assembly up.

An online news platform thisage.com had on wednesday reported that the assembly members had stopped the screening of the commissioner nominee because of the governor’s alleged refusal to pay them their outstanding sitting allowances.

But swiftly the group in a statement made available to newsmen and signed by Pam Datiri the Public relations officer described the reports as false and laughable .

As a group” We have done carried out our investigation and observed that the report is false .”

” We have also spoken to some lawmakers on conditions of anonymity, and have denied the report “.

“Governor Lalong is very considerate to the plight of the lawmakers, he is a man who is determined to better the lives of citizens of the state .

“Lalong is passionate about developing Plateau and would continue to work with all arms of government to take Plateau higher .”
