Governor Lalong greets Muslims at Sallah

Plateau State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, on Monday felicitated with the Muslim Ummah worldwide on the occasion of the celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr festival.
In a statement signed by Solomon Gujor,Deputy Director, Press and Public Affairs and made available to newsmen in Jos Lalong enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the period to offer prayers for peace, unity, prosperity, healing of our land, and rapid development at all levels of governance in the country.
He used the occasion to call on all Muslims to put into practice lessons learnt during the Ramadan period, and to love and share with the less privileged in the society as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
The Governor said when every citizen upholds and practices the teachings from our holy books, peace and tranquility will reign in the society.
He reiterated the determination of the Rescue Government to bequeath enduring legacies to the next generation in line with the administration’s 5 Policy Thrust.
He called on those celebrating to observe the laws of the land, and to especially obey traffic regulations as they move around in the course of the celebration.
