Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has stated that his Government will give all the necessary attention needed in the educational sector. The Governor represented by the commissioner of Education Mr Nanle Dashen at the Celebration of the Children’s day in Jos said that children who are assets of the society should be encouraged to achieve greater heights.

He stated that, “Plateau State has done a lot towards improving education through the provision of improved environment and learning facilities as well as teacher’s motivation. This administration is giving priority to the allocation of resources in the areas that affect children.”

He added that “In the area of health, the State has made efforts to ensure that children are adequately immunized and that issue of malaria, measles and other child killer diseases are copiously addressed. This is why we are making deliberate effort to empower families so that children will have access to qualitative health care and education.”

The Governor said that the future of the children should not be toyed with as they are the leaders of tomorrow while stating that his administration will do everything possible to ensure that they achieve greatness. He employed people to support the call to better the life of the kids so as to bring out the best in them.

Governor Jang restates commitment to children’s education
