The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed and confirmed Chairman and Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) following their endorsement by the Nigerian Senate.

Gov. Mutfwang in a congratulatory message signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the bold and strategic decision to establish the Commission and for the calibre of appointments made. He described the move as a significant step toward restoring hope and accelerating development in the North Central region.

The Governor expressed confidence in the ability of the pioneer Chairman, Cosmas T. Akyhir, and the Managing Director/CEO, Tsenyi Cyril Yiltsen, alongside other distinguished members of the Commission, to steer its affairs effectively for the benefit of the people. He lauded their wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, describing their appointment as a reflection of broad-based representation and a commitment to inclusive governance and regional development.

Governor Mutfwang noted that the appointees are seasoned administrators and accomplished technocrats, well positioned to immediately provide visionary leadership. He emphasized the importance of the Commission’s role in coordinating strategic interventions from the Federal Government and development partners to address critical challenges such as infrastructural deficits, youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and the security of lives and property.

While highlighting the developmental hurdles facing the North Central region, Governor Mutfwang expressed optimism that the establishment of the NCDC would rekindle citizens’ confidence in governance and lay a sustainable foundation for poverty alleviation and regional revitalization.
