Gov. Lalong Yet to Pay Law School Bursary Since 2016, Plateau Lawyers Cry Out

A legal practitioner in the Plateau State chapter of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Jos J. R. Tahdok, Esq has urged Governor Simon Lalong to continue with the payment of bursary allowances to our  Plateau Law students.

As a lawyer, and a beneficiary of the Plateau state Bursary scheme for Law school students in the ’90s, you have willingly refused to pay those behind you; It may interest the public to know that Gov. Simon Lalong has not paid Law school Bursary since 2016 set till date.

I remember vividly how Gov. Simon Lalong younger brother (late) Mr. Tsenba Bako told me how Gov. Simon Lalong struggle and the role (He) Tsenba Bako played in order to raise money so that Gov. Simon Lalong will go to Law school in Lagos.

Late Tsenba had to sell his rice farm, just to raise money so that Gov. Simon Lalong will go to law school, and after benefitting from the bursary scheme, Gov. Simon Lalong has refused to pay His juniors; Believe me today, some people struggled, and are still struggling even after Law school, and our Governor who is a Lawyer, and a beneficiary of the said scheme, has turned a deaf ear to our cry.

I just saw on social media that Gov. Simon Lalong has picked his nomination form to contest for Senate in the Southern zone of Plateau state, well, constitutionally he possesses all the right to contest, but morally, Gov. Simon Lalong does not have the moral right and standing to come and look poor families in the eye telling them to vote for him for Senate.

Gov. Simon Lalong has not paid the law school bursary of 2016 set to date, it is shameful that as a lawyer, you have not demonstrated any love or shown kindness to the people of your profession.

Gov. Simon Lalong, do you know that Gov. Jonah Jang was the one who remodeled and increase the law school bursary? Gov. Jang is not a lawyer ooo,, I want you to think about this, ponder on it as a lawyer and reply to me by paying the law school bursary.
