Press Release
Truth is one and cannot be subverted. Governor Lalong is not working in the interest of the Plateau people.
Just as Governor Simon Bako Lalong’s spokesman said, the Jang Media organisation will no back down on upholding the truth, in spite of his recalcitrance.
We maintain that the Lalong administration has spent the last over two years in office with no significant impact on the polity.
It may, be true that more killings by Fulani herdsmen’s attacks, had happened under the Jang administration but it is only becoming evident and clearer who the true enemies of Plateau people are. They may not be far from us.
To gloat over lives lost is the height of insensitivity, worse of all is even to politicise it as is currently being done by the Lalong administration.
Plateau people will not be deterred in their resolve to continue refusing anti-people policies. The present administration must understand that the people are united in distancing the state from any grazing reserves or colonies. Gov. Lalong is on his own and will continue to be alone on that path.
While it is only natural to expect government to perform, it is unfortunate that the present administration has lost focus and is only interested in being seen as close to the centre.
No amount of blackmail will outdo or erase the achievements of the Jang administration in the state. The results speak loudly and are evident for all to see. Gov. Lalong should concentrate on governance and stop glorying in false sainthood.
We advise the Governor to cash in on the magnanimity of the Government of Benue state and redeem his already battered image in the eyes of the public.
We, once more advise the Director of Press to settle to his herculean task of reinventing his boss’ image than threading on this path of unrepentantly justifying a national goof.
Trying to stand the truth on its head will only smear the humanness in you, that is, if there is any left.
The truth remains that Gov. Lalong is not working in the interest of Plateau people.

Media Consultant to Senator Dr. David Jonah Jang.
