Gov. Lalong challenges security agents to fish out killers of former Head of Service Da Moses Gwom and two others

Gov.Simon Lalong of Plateau has called on agencies in the state to fish out killers of former Head of Service Moses Gwom and two others killed on Tuesday night.

Unknown gunmen at about 8p.m on Tuesday, attacked and killed Gwom, an army corporal, Chimezie Goodluck and Rhoda Dauda in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.

Lalong, in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr Emmanuel Nanle in Jos on Thursday said that he was saddened by recent recent gory event that culminated into the killings.

“Security agencies in the state must swing into action to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous and dastardly act.

“Government is concerned with the re-occurrence of isolated cases of unprovoked attacks and is resolved on fishing out the perpetrators of these acts of inhumanity.

“All residents of neighbourhoods that experienced violence during the dark decade of conflicts in the state will not to rest on their oars in ensuring vigilance,’’ he said.

He said the effort would through neighborhood security watch and intensified efforts in building community cohesion.

The governor assured the people of the state that their safety remained a priority to his administration in spite pockets of cases that seemed to suggest the existence of reprisal attacks.

The governor extended his condolences to the families of all the deceased and prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
