Gov Lalong acquires 400 new tractors inorder to boost agriculture

Governor of Plateau, Mr Simon Lalong, has promised to turn around the economic fortunes of the state through harnessing of its huge agricultural potential.
In order to achieve this, the Lalong led administration has purchased over 400 tractors to boost agriculture in the state. .
He made this known on Monday after inspecting projects lined up for commission by President Muhammadu Buhari .
Our Correspondent reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to commission some projects in Plateau State on a one day working visit on Thursday March 8 .
Lalong said that government was leveraging on the benefits of public and private sector investment through partnership to achieve the goal of diversifying its economy to agriculture.
“
He added that the state would soon venture into large scale mechanised farming through public-private partnership.
The governor also re-stated his administration`s determination to ensure their is a bumper harvest in Plateau this year
Lalong also said his administration would continue to deliver on its electioneering promises.
“My administration is determined to make lives comfortable for all citizens of Plateau. ”
“We would continue to embark on developmental projects that have direct bearing on the people of the state especially for those in the rural areas
“we are revamping the education sector as well as the health sector and we would continue to do more for our people. ”
He also expressed satisfaction with ongoing road construction work in the State .
Lalong called on the people of the state to continue to support the APC government at all times.
Our Correspondent reports that projects slated for launch by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 8th of March in Plateau includes the Federal low cost road, the Maraba Jamma road, the secretariat Junction fly over among other numerous network of roads completed by the Lalong led administration
