The Plateau North Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Amb (Dr) Chris Musa Giwa congratulates HRM, Da Jacob Gyang Buba CFR, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Berom Educational and Cultural Organization and the Berom nation on the 2023 Nzem Berom festival.

Giwa in his goodwill message described the Nzem Berom festival which holds annually to usher in rainfall for the planting season and to pray for bountiful harvest of crops at the end of the year’s farming as a veritable tool for the promotion, and projection of the identity, and rich cultural heritage of the hospitable Berom nation that has been in existence for ages.

He notes that this year’s theme, ‘The Berom Economy; a metamorphosis, is timely given the current economic challenges which the Berom nation is not immuned from and canvassed for concerted efforts by Berom stakeholders and the government in harnessing the material and human capital resources domicile in Berom land to address the issues of unemployment, and poverty.

“As we celebrate this year’s occasion which symbolizes our unity, progress and love for one another, I call on us to consolidate on our collective gains as a people and forge a united, indivisible front devoid of partisanship to address our common challenges especially that of insecurity which has displaced our people and disrupted their sources of livelihood among other things “.

Giwa assures of his commitment to the Berom nation in the areas of promotion of it’s rich cultural heritage, defending the land from external aggression, and contributing his quota to peaceful coexistence, and development at all times while offering prayers for a successful Nzem festival.
