Plateau State and Nigeria have lost a former Deputy Senate President, Dr. Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu CFR, the Waziri Pyem.

Sen. Ibrahim Mantu is said to have died in the early hours of Tuesday 17th August, 2021 at the age of 74 at Diff Medical Centre Gudu Abuja.

In line with Islamic injunction, he will be buried at Gudu Cemetery after the Funeral Prayers to be held at Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque today by 1:00 PM.

Sen. Ibrahim Mantu represented Plateau Central Zone at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly from 1999 to 2007 under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and was Deputy Senate President from 2003-2007.
