The NGO also said it has started an Advocacy tagged VOTE peacefully in Plateau to sensitize citizens of the state to conduct themselves peacefully during the forthcoming local government elections .
Takalis Dandaura Daspan Executive Director/Founder of the NGO made this appeal in an interview with our correspondent in Jos.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to also remember the labour of “our heroes past’’ during the period of general election and local government elections in Plateau , while urging them to show love and promote unity in the country and Plateau respectively
I also appeal to Youths in Plateau to conduct themselves peacefully in the forthcoming local government elections ,
I call on all stakeholders, political leaders, religious leaders, Civil Society organizations and youth organizations to also be involved in the message of hope and peace in the country.
“Nigerians at this point in time must ensure that they are orderly and as such desist from any act that is capable of causing electoral violence in the general elections.
“We are determined to play a key role in promoting Peace. “We are working with church leaders, political leaders and voters to create a positive and safe atmosphere” We are connecting with people at the grassroot on how to maintain peace in the forthcoming local government election in the country and forthcoming local government elections
Daspan also called on youths in the country to see themselves as leaders and refuse to be used as touts and thugs by politicians.
