Fintiri Constitutes Adamawa Government Delegation for 2026 Christian Pilgrimage to Israel

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has approved the constitution of a State Government Delegation to oversee the 2026 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Israel.

The delegation is chaired by His Royal Majesty Johnson Diyo Matalo, the Gubo Yungur.
Other members of the committee are Senator Rev. Amos Yohanna, Hon. Japhet Hammajabu, Mr. Samuel Chinda, Rev. Fr. Anselm Kachalla, while Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas will serve as Secretary.

Governor Fintiri, while congratulating the members on their appointment, urged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, discipline, and patriotism.
He described their appointment as both an honour and a significant responsibility, charging them to be worthy ambassadors of Adamawa State and to ensure a smooth, hitch-free, and spiritually rewarding pilgrimage for all participants.

The Governor also directed the delegation to work closely with the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) and other relevant authorities to guarantee the welfare, safety, and effective coordination of pilgrims from the state.

He further called on the committee members to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining transparent, accountable, and focused on the spiritual objectives of the pilgrimage.

Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting religious activities that promote peace, unity, and moral values, stressing that such initiatives remain vital to strengthening harmonious coexistence and sustainable development in Adamawa State.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.
