Federal Lawmaker, Barr. I. D. Gyang declares intention to contest Plateau North senatorial Seat

Member Representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Hon. Istifanus  Gyang on Thursday declared his intention to contest the Plateau North Senatorial seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP .

He made his intention known  while presenting his letter of intent to contest for the position in the  2019 General elections.

The lawmaker said “God has given him the leadership qualification and capacity to take over the Senate Seat from the Former Governor of the state Senator Jonah David Jang in the red chamber if the PDP gives him the mandate to contest in 2019.”

Hon. Gyang said his aspirations to represent  Plateau North in the Senate was born  out of desire to sacrifice more for development of the state to consolidate on the achievement of the Peoples Democratic Government of  Senator Jonah Jang in the state.

“I going to serve the good people of Plateau because I have the full confidence as a democrat to promote democratic tenets by organizing them into platform for proper dialogue”.

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state Hon. Damishi Sango represented by his Deputy Hon. Amos Gombi assured the lawmaker that the party will provide a level playing ground for all candidates to aspire.

He said the era of impunity in the party is gone and commended the lawmaker for his effective representation in the House of Representatives.
