The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has congratulated the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade for his successful coronation and presentation of Staff of office by the Governor of Oyo State Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Bishop Adegbite commended the transparent selection process that led to the emergence of the new Alaafin of Oyo.
Thus, he described the appointment of the new Alaafin of Oyo as a well deserved one.
The NCPC boss who is a distinguished son of Oyo State, congratulated the sons and daughters of Oyo State in Nigeria and in diaspora for the successful coronation of Oba Abimbola Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
He urged the new Monarch to use his good offices to promote and preserve the rich Yoruba historical kingdom and tradition, especially the Oyo Kingdom.
He further urged him to treat everyone in Oyo Kingdom as his subject irrespective of their religion or political persuasion.
Additionally, Bishop Adegbite further urged the new Alaafin of Oyo to preserve the norms , values and traditions of the ancient town of Oyo Kingdom as was done by his predecessors.
He expressed optimism that the reign of the new Alaafin of Oyo will witness peace, progress and stability.
