As the Holy month of Ramadan comes to an end ushering in the celebration of Eid-el-fitr, my family and I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and the world at large.

This year Ramadan was unique considering the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic which has altered many things including mode of worship. This offers an opportunity for sober reflection.

It is my hope that the important lessons of Ramadan, including love, sacrifice, forgiveness, patriotism, discipline and charity would not cease to be part of our ways of life in the months and years ahead.

As we celebrate, I urge that we abide and adhere to the health protocols. Also, we should use this opportunity to continue to pray for our leaders, the peace, unity and development of Nigeria and for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
