A former Council Boss Riyom LGC and Member of the 7th Assembly Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constitutional, Dr. Simon Mwadkon Fwet has won the PDP House of Reps Ticket for his Federal Constituency, B/Ladi-Riyom.

Dr. Mwadkon pulled 82 Votes to win his closest opponent, Hon. Daniel Dem the Minority Leader Plateau State House of Assembly and Member representing Riyom Constituency who got 62 Votes. Former Commissioner of Finance Plateau State Hon. Davou C. Mang pulled 51 Votes while Barr. Victor Kwon attracted 21 Votes to himself.

The election which started late was adjudged peaceful, credible, free, fair and generally acceptable.

The election held at Godiya Tourist Resort Heipang Barkin Ladi LGA and was well attended by supporters, friends and family members of Aspirants.
