Dr. Kenneth Egwuda Bags Award of Excellence as Africa’s Patriotic Personality of the Year from the League of African Development Students(LEADS Africa)

The Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of ALPS Hospitals & Diagnostic Centre Jos, Plateau State, Dr. Kenneth Egwuda, a Consultant Gynaecologist, IVF/ART Specialist, Minimal Access Surgeon and Reproductive Biologist has been honoured today with an award of excellence by the League of African Development Students (LEAD Africa) as Africa’s Patriotic Personality of the Year in recognition of his patriotic strides, milestones in the medical profession and human capital development.
Leader of the delegation, Morgan Gabriel of University of Professional Studies, Mardina-Accra, Ghana who is the President and Head of Advocacy LEADS – Africa said Dr. Kenneth Egwuda is being recognized and celebrated for his medical breakthroughs not only in Plateau State,I Nigeria but all over Africa.
He said in terms of capacity and proficiency in leadership and medical practice, ideas generation and implementation, Dr. Kenneth has proven to be sagacious, ingenious and possesses rare and exquisite skills.
He said he is contributing immensely to Africa’s quest for healthcare development and self reliance.
He said this award is meritorious and should spark greater works from the recipient, Dr. Kenneth Egwuda.
Certificate of credence was issued to Dr. Kenneth by the group while he was decorated into LEADS Africa Hall of fame.
The Staff of his organization were also honored with Corporate Mandate Award in recognition of their excellent healthcare service delivery.
Dr. Kenneth Egwuda in his remark thanked the conglomerate of Students from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Africa for the honoring with this award. He said the award was sudden and nobody saw it coming but it goes to depict that what they are doing in their various corners are being noticed, evaluated, certified and chosen to be celebrated. He said this award is making him happy, do more and will enable them work towards putting Nigeria and Africa to the better pedestal in the world as well as enhance medical tourism in Plateau State, Nigeria and Africa.
He made a quote which says “we are responsible for whatever we become in life”
Dr. Kenneth said looking at Austria and France Presidents depict that young people have great capacities, capabilities, content and competence to lead.
He dedicated the award to staff of his facilities saying they are critical to the success stories and breakthrough of his organization. He said his staff are youths and their capacities are being built to attain their full potentials.
He thanked the media, the electronic, print and social media for assisting in promoting and projecting his facility.
He said they are developing capacities in Kano State already and are already expanding to Kaduna and Niger States.
Dr. Kenneth said life had positioned him to always work with the best.
He charged youths to prepare, develop themselves for greatness and pursue excellence.
He said in his quest for self development, he travelled to the UK, India and other Countries for studies with the best persons in his line of specialty.
He said with the skills, training and exceptional experience he gathered overtime, he told himself he won’t want to work with the public sector to waste his skills hence the establishment of the ALPS Hospitals and Diagnostic Centre.
The world and science are developing, Africa must catch up with new trends in science and technological advancement and development he said.
He went further to say youth must work hard towards remaining relevant in this modern world of technological innovations and breakthroughs.
He said youth must be ready to transform the society by citing Lee Kuan Yew Former Prime Minister of Singapore who out of dedication and commitment was able to transform his Country to be where it is today.
He said leaders must look for successors, empty themselves in them, mentor them and not kill people’s dreams.

The event which took place at ALPS Hospitals and Diagnostic Centre No. 2 Tari Close Opposite PRTVC Rayfield Office Jos, Plateau State was well attended by staff of the organizations, friends, associates, medical practitioners and the media.
