The member representing Dengi state constituency, Rt Hon (surv) Saleh shehu Yipmong who doubles as the Deputy speaker of the state assembly was today in Kanam together with house committee on works to perform an oversight function which is part of their legislative responsibility. The chairman of the committee who is the member representing Bokkos LGA, Hon Engr Amorudu Huseini alongside other members which include Hon Timothy Dantong, Hon Peter Gyendeng, Hon Henry longs, and Hon Yahaya Mavo were also part of the entourage.
The committee on reaching Kanam moved straight to Emir’s palace so as to pay their respect to him and to also to notify him of their visit and also to Wase Emir’s palace respectively before zooming off to the affected area. The road linking Dengi headquarters of Kanam LGA to kwalmiya, hakimi, Gagdi, wawus to Bauchi boundary at Dal marke was the major point of visit which was heavily destroyed while in Wase the went to Mavo area which was largely affected by the flood.
Rt Hon Yipmong while granting an interview to press men urged the communities affected by the disaster to continue to give their maximum support to the Rescue Administration of Rt Hon Simon Bako lalong who is the Executive Governor of Plateau State owing to the fact that the Administration have the people at heart so it will come up with rapid steps in bringing succor to them so that life will be more easier by having easy access to their farms.
The traditional rulers, community leaders and youths assured the members of the state house of assemby of their continues support as they deliver devidend of democracy to the masses in the affected areas and the state at large.
