Dennis Yillah Berates Gov. Lalong Penchant for Illegality

Mr Dennis Danladi Yillah, an Ngas born businessman has, again, taken a swipe on Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, for taking the state to the abyss of primitivity with his penchant for illegality that is always making Plateau on the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Yillah advised Lalong to eat the humble pie, and needfully back off his unholy alliance with the Yakubu Sanda led illegal faction of the state legislature, in order for the house to reconvene and continue their business of representing the various state constituencies.

According to him, “just when Plateau citizens are grappling with the shameful display of illegality ochestrated by the governor and his seven cohorts in the state assembly, the governor is angling to thwart the mandate of the people of Langtang North freely given to Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven to lead them as their chairman for three years, as reaffirmed by the state High Court, in a judgment delivered by Justice Ishaku Kunda on 2nd November, 2021”.

These two acts of gross infraction of constitutional provisions by Governor Lalong in quick succession, according to Yillah, calls for serious concern by all lovers of Plateau State, urging the citizens to take their destinies in their hands by kicking against the governor’s penchant for illegality with all the seriousness it deserves.

Citing statutory authorities that provide for the removal of speaker of a state legislature and the tenure of office of executives, which starts counting from the day they take oath of office, Yillah said Lalong has belittled his lawyer personality by behaving more like a ruffian in power.

He aligns with Hon. Musa Bagos, the member representing Jos East/Jos South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, who described the governor’s actions as shameful and capable of reducing Plateau to a laughing stock, and called on the member representing his constituency, PKK, to add his voice in condemnation of the governor’s actions that infringe on the youth constituency, where they all belong.

He further charged the youths of Plateau State and every citizen of voting age to register with INEC and obtain PVCs that would be used in 2023 to right these wrongs, by voting out selfish politicians and voting in people with interest of the state, who can defend the land and its people with all that they have got.

Yillah describes as laughable, the recent call by a group of hungry politicians that Lalong should gun for presidency in 2023, positing that such a call can only emanate from people who do not mean well for the country.
