Dariye: The Requisite Candidate for APC National Chairmanship – Shabul Mazadu

With the lurking and imminent fierce political challenge to dislodge the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027 rolling in by integrated political combatants on the auspice of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, posing a serious threat to the ruling party, the additional remedy to their defeat, is getting an indefatigable, forward-looking, ingenious, benevolent and scientifically authenticated capacitated politician, with undisputable political finesse and leadership prowess of sub-national, national and international standard to be the National Chairman as backup to the gallant Field Marshal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And the person is none other than Chief Joshua Dariye, whose political sojourn has proven so.

Dariye possesses the wherewithal to match every challenge bumper to bumper, cajole huge followers, bridge every gap, arbiter all disputes, withstand every challenge, endure misunderstandings, defend vulnerable political anatomy of the ruling party and deliver extensive punch with paralyzing effects to opponents’ destructive schemes.

Let’s see the stuff he is made up of. Rev. Jesse Jackson said, “Leaders must be tough enough to fight, tender enough to cry, human enough to absorb the pain, and resilient enough to bounce back and keep moving.”
Dariye has exhibited that he is tough enough to fight in many cases. He fought gallantly to return from the Emergency Rule and the Illegal impeachment meted against him while in office as Governor.
He fought gallantly despite all the state and Federal Government’s machineries used against him in 2011, and won Plateau Central Senatorial District election on a new party with no structure in the state, that was the LP.

In 2014 when he was set to return to the PDP from the LP, then governor closed the door against him and Dame Pauline Tallen, but Dariye fought his way and returned while the Governor helplessly watched. And not only that, but without control of the PDP EXCO, he clinched the Senatorial ticket during the primaries in December 2014. This showed his charisma and ability to win opponents to his side.
He was able to make peace with his fierce political haters, and earned their friendship.
Despite his political strength, Dariye is humble enough to admit errors and beg for forgiveness. He never acts the god. When in pain he cries and bears it, but never allows his spirit weakens. He smiles at his persecutors, extends his hand of friendship, but defeats them in the game, at the same time teaching them that politics should not destroy friendship and brotherhood as it is only a game of interest. This is a large heart that distinguishes him and makes him unique from most politicians.

Dariye is forward-looking which is a major character in leadership. A former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku said, “Countries and nations whose societies have attained appreciable development and advancement have done so because they have been blessed with forward-looking and progressive leaders committed to uplifting the welfare and well-being of their people.”

Under Dariye as Plateau State Governor, the state witnessed appreciable Human development simultaneously with enduring infrastructures.
He established institutions which created employment to many, enhanced learning and generated funds for them.
Dariye established College of Agriculture Garkawa and College of Arts and Remedial Studies, Kurgwi, where academic and non-academic staff secured employment, students learn and the economy of the communities enhanced. He relocated College of Education Gindiri from its temporary to Permanent Site, where additional courses were introduced and more academic and non-academic staff were employed, which expanded and developed the town.
He raised Plateau Polytechnic HND Courses from 2 to 14, where more lecturers were employed and more students admitted.

Dariye created Plateau State University Bokkos, where academic and non-academic staff were employed. He upgraded certificates of Colleges of Health Zawan and Pankshin which graduates can work anywhere in the country, unlike when he met them, where the certificates can only be used in the state.

He established General Hospitals Tunkus, Angware and Dengi, where doctors, nurses and non-medical staff secured employment. There are so many, too numerous to mention.
His style of leadership is in tune with the constitutional provisions of promoting and protecting the welfare of the citizens.
His vision clearly tallies with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s which can be seen from the appointments he initiated, institutions he created, and many others which created employments.

If Dariye clinches the National Chairmanship of the APC, he will complement the President’s efforts with ingenuity of getting the people empowered to decline criminality and boost the economy, and establish the requisite infrastructures in the country through additional wise counsels to elective office holders and political appointees. There will be harmonious working relationship and unity amongst party members to unanimously win the 2027 general elections.

Dariye has proven beyond reasonable doubt his leadership capacity and what he can achieve at any given time.
The APC stands to win in 2027 with Dariye as the capacitated National Chairman who will magnificently complement the efforts of Mr. President by reducing the burden of solving party problems, uniting the party and winning more converts from the opposition parties. Coupled with Tinubu’s gallantry and finesse, ADC will shit bricks with Dariye as APC National chairman.
