DALUNG PRESENTS 200 BAGS OF RELIEF MATERIALS TO IDPs THROUGH COCIN LEADERSHIP

The Honourable Minister of Youths and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has presented 200 bags of relief materials to Church of Christ in Nation (COCIN) to aids in sustaining the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of the recent crisis in Plateau State. The relief materials which contains 100 bags of rice and 100 bags of Supergatives to support COCIN Community in feedings the victims.

The Minister commended the effort of the COCIN Leadership in sustaining victims of Plateau crisis. ” COCIN community has been greatly affected by the recent crisis which left over 200 people deaths, and thousands were displaced from their villages, yet COCIN leadership has been taking care of the victims. I must comment the effort of your leadership for humanitarian support giving to the victims.”

Receiving the relief materials, the COCIN President, Rev. Dr Datiri Dachollom thanked the Minister for his selfless contribution to support the victims of the crisis who were camping across 17 locations in Barkin Ladi, Riyom, and Angulidi in Jos South LGA of Plateau State. The COCIN President who expressed saddeness on the suffering of the IDPs , appealed to government to double cross efforts to ensured the victims return to their various communities to regain freedom.

The Minister further pledged his support to ensure restoration of peace on the Plateau and Nigeria at large. May God restored peace in Plateau State and Nigeria, Amen.
