COVID-19: Plateau State Installs CCTV cameras at Major Borders

Plateau state Government has planted Closed-circuit television CCTV cameras at major borders in the state to check the entrance of persons to the state .

It could be recalled that Governor Simon Lalong who is the Chairman of the State COVID-19 Taskforce, Governor Simon Lalong had recently directed that all entry and exists routes to the state should be closed to complement the measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Daser David, the pioneer Director -General of the newly established Plateau State Information Technology Agency (PSITA) in a post said We now have CCTV cameras displaying major borders in Plateau state.

He said ” Next phase is building a robust process with the security handlers. “

Daser said What we have learnt from the video feed in the past couple of days is that lockdown is the best and surest way to enforce border closure.

He said in the coming days we would conclude on a proper security process while looking at the borders from the situation room.
