Steps to contain COVID-19 in Plateau State

The Plateau State Hospitals Management Board led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Dakwak Yamma Dajom, has taken stringent measures to stem the spread of Coronavirus in the state in line with the mandate of Plateau State Governor Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong to completely cordon and stop the Coronavirus from entering the state with God on our side.

A statement by Dr. Dakwak Yamma Dajom through the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mrs. Christiana L. Yilbial, said the Board, in its intervention to Prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) especially to the communities in rural areas of the state, has provided face masks and hand gloves to all its staff who move around on inspection of all its facilities across the three senatorial zones to sensitise its staff and the general public on preventive measures to avoid the spread of infection of disease to the communities.

The statement further added that the Board has two equipped isolation centres in General Hospital, Pankshin, with its recorgnized drugs compounding centres with hand sanitizers for staff and the general public, and General Hospital Shendam for quick response and intervention in case of the spread of the the Coronavirus.

Dr Dakwak said all should adhere strictly to government directive and advice, and stay safe, stay at home to avoid the spread of corona virus please!
