COVID-19 Plateau Lockdown: Two Trucks Conveying 43 Persons Intercepted in Jos

Personnel of the NPF, Peace Corps, VGN and Neighbourhood Watch who are enforcing the lockdown order of the Plateau State Government this afternoon intercepted two trucks coming into the State Capital, Jos conveying 43 passengers.

The passengers mostly youths said they were coming from Lafia, Nasarawa State.

At the time of filing this report, the Anglo Jos Division of the Nigerian Police Force were at the scene and were seen conveying them for appropriate actions.

The Plateau State government has put in place proactive measures aimed at mitigating the spread of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

The State government has said stiffer sanctions will be meted on violators of its directives.
