Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Usman has made available water to some communities in the locality.
The gesture according to the Chairman is to compliment the state Government’s effort in providing water to citizens during the Lockdown period
Shehu Usman described water as an essential commodity to human existence and maintain the desire of his administration to continue providing portable water to aid the people of the area during the Lockdown to mitigate the spread of COVID 19.
He explained that the council recognises that compliance with measures put in place come with some inconveniences.
Councilor representing Tudun Wada Ward, Christopher Azi expressed gratitude to the Chairman for providing water and other palliatives which include Rice and spaghetti.
Azi said he has since distributed to the vulnerable people in the area and called on other well spirited individuals to emulate the Chairman’s magnanimity.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke appreciated the Chairman’s gesture by supplying water to their door step at a time they need it most and assured of their prayer for his administration.
Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Usman has commended members of the Vigilante Nigeria and Neighborhood Watch for proactiveness in complimenting the effort of security agencies to ensure success of the total Lockdown directive by Governor Simon Lalong.
Usman gave the Commendation when he undertook a tour of the city to assess the level of compliance with the the State Government’s lockdown directive.
Usman said there is ninety eight percent compliance in Jos North Local Government Area and commended residents of the area for
understanding to stay at home to halt the spread of COVID 19.
The Chairman added the fight against COVID 19 is a collective one and called on citizens to put hands on deck and work with Government to fight the disease###.
