COVID-19: Alh. Gwani Muhammad Adam Alkali, OON Distributes Food Items to People as Palliative

As the stringent measures put in place by Government at all levels to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria and Plateau State continue to bite hard, a renown Philanthropist, Alh. Gwani Muhammad Adam Alkali, OON through his his Foundation, Atika and Hajara Charity Foundation has distributed food items to ameliorate the hardships being faced by the people.

The laudable gesture which he tagged “Gwani’s COVID-19 Palliative” saw the Philanthropist distributing 600 Bags of Parboiled Rice and 800 Cartons of Spaghetti Pasta.

Alh. Gwani said he is touched by what the people are going through on account of the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

He said with 210 confirmed cases and 4 deaths recorded nationally, it is imperative for the people to adhere strictly to all safety and preventive measures put in place to curb the pandemic.

He said it gladdens his heart that God provided him what he is sharing to the people. He posited that he is the most happiest person.
“I am even happier than the beneficiaries” he said.

“Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity” he said quoting Tirmidhi.

Alh. Gwani urged the people to comply to all preventive measures and government directives which is said are beneficial to all.

He said this is the time to demonstrate love and empathy to those who may not have due to the economic lockdown in place. He admonished the people to share what they have with the needy and attract blessings from Allah.

He charged the people to stay at home, avoid crowded areas, avoid handshake temporarily, avoid unnecessary travel/movements, wash their hands with soap using running water or hand sanitizers, practice good personal/respiratory hygiene and report any suspected case.

Beneficiaries of the philanthropic gesture cutting across the various religions, political parties and social statuses appreciated Alh. Gwani for his display of empathy and pray God. to reward him immensely.

They said persons with such hearts are rare and called on others who have the opportunities to emulate him by providing to the less privileged and disadvantaged.
