Council Boss pledge open door Policy

The Executive Chairman Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council Hon. Abdulmalik Yusuf Haruna has said that his administration will operate an open door policy by creating enabling environment for fairness, natural justice and equity, towards repositioning the Local Government Area.

Hon. Abdulmalik Yusuf Haruna stated this at the Swearing-in ceremony of the Deputy Chairman, the Council Secretary, Supervisory Councilors, Senior Advisers and other political appointees, held recently at the Council Secretariat, Baap.

The Executive Chairman charged all the appointees to eschew retrogressive acts that will thwart the development of the Local Government, saying it is their collective desire to meticulously impact good governance and equitable distribution of dividends of democracy to the people of Quaan – Pan.

“We are children of necessity in this ‘new normal’. As you accept my congratulations, I challenge you to respect the oath being administered today to guarantee ground for better management of human and material resources of the council, and to uphold the justice and equitable principles of the Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong Rescue administration in the state,” he stressed.

Abdulmalik further acknowledged that governance is a continues process, hence the need to consolidate on the efforts of the immediate past administration of Hon. Isaac Kyale Kwallu toward repositioning the local government for effective service delivery to the people of Quaan Pan Local Government Area.

In an acceptance speech, the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Victoria Dalap, on behalf of the Secretary to the Council Barr. Simon Dawang and other appointees, expressed gratitude to Governor Simon Bako Lalong for spurring them into taking positive action at all times. She thanked the stakeholders and the good people of the locality for finding them worthy to serve their motherland.

The event which had overwhelming turnout of party supporters, families and friends of the appointees including political stakeholders of the locality, also featured Oath taking, administered by the Chief Magistrate of Quaan Pan Local Government.
