Concern PDP Muslim Youth Council commends Gov. Mutfwang for Granting Rwang Pam Stadium for Eid-el-maulud Celebration

A Muslim Group under the aegis of Concerned PDP Muslim Youths has commended the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang for Granting the Rwang Pam Township Jos to the Muslim Ummah for use for the 2023 Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Islamic Prophet Muhammed (SAW) which held on Wednesday 27th September, 2023.

The group in a statement signed by its President, Kabiru Muhammad Garkuwa described the gesture of the Governor as honoring and a reflection of his commitment to unite the people and build peace which in turn he said has the propensity to engender greater development.
He asserted that over a decade, the Muslim Ummah are celebrating this auspicious day at Jos Central Mosque on account of the security challenges and breach of unity in the state.
“We all know that owing to the growing population nowadays, the environment is not conducive as it cannot cater for the populace, People were so much confined in Mosque premises but with the coming of Gov. Mutfwang who keeps demonstrating his magnanimity for accepting the request for this year’s Eid-El-Maulud to be transferred back to the Stadium after years of attempt but denied by the past administrations.

“It is no doubt that the faces of thousands of people were filled with utmost joy and happiness on this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

“TIME IS NOW that peace, unity and togetherness has come back as many of our Christian brothers and sisters are in the stadium celebrating with us.
Indeed, this development glittered the hearts of many for which sought to put an indelible mark in unity promotion. It resonated a deep feeling of trust to Barr. Caleb Mutfwang’s administration of carrying everyone along.

“The Chief Imam of Jos Central Mosque while delivering his speech thanked and appreciated the gesture of His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang The Executive Governor of Plateau State who cherished and embodied everyone without considering religion or tribal differences. He call the Muslim Ummah to embrace peaceful coexistence and tolerance between diverse faiths.

“He also used the medium to call on the Muslim Adherents to imbibe the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad SAW PBUH and to reflect on his integrity, fairness, kindness and justice.

“The entire Muslims youth on the plateau are saying a very big thank you to his excellency and pray that Allah Almighty in his power will everything easy and possible to you” he concluded.
