Comrade Pius Hoomen congratulates Lalong over supreme court victory

Plateau Youth activist Comrade Pius Hoomen has congratulated the state Governor Simon Lalong over his Supreme Court ruling that validated his election as governor.

Our correspondent reports that the Supreme court has dismissed an appeal filed by Jeremiah Useni and the PDP challenging the election of Simon Lalong as Governor of Plateau state.

Hoomen in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos on Monday described the apex court ruling as an affirmation of the people’s will as expressed through their votes in the 2019 governorship election in the state.

Hoomen said , “It is a great day for democracy and people of Plateau . The highest court in the country has finally affirmed Governor Lalong as the true winner of the election.

“Hearty congratulations to his excellency Governor, Simon Lalong A bigger congratulation to the people of Plateau State, who are the real winners

Hoomen further added that Lalong would take Plateau State to the next level of development and prosperity.
