COA Media Holds 2017 Plateau Gala/Awards Night and Face of Plateau Beauty Pageant

The 3rd Edition of Plateau Awards Gala/Award Night by COA Media held on Sunday 4th March, 2018 to honor those who contributed immensely in diverse ways to Plateau State and humanity. The occasion had as Chairman His Excellency Sen. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Plateau State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Hon. Yakubu Dati who represented the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Simon Bako Lalong who was Chief Host.

Father of the day was Prof. Emmanuel J. C. Obilom who is the Oyendu Ndi Igbo Jos, Plateau State.

The event was colorful with live performances from notable artistes in Plateau State such as Dex Dee, Da Eagles Dance Crew, Kespan Maxwell with MC Tsok thrilling the audience with hilarious jokes.

The Anchors of the event were Mr. Kenzy Ngupar of PRTVC and Mbasiti J. Jesse of KT FM.

The Chairman of the Awards Committee, Mr. Daniel Gonzuk thanked the people and said the reasons for the awards are to reward excellence and hard work in Plateau State, promote entrepreneurship, promote investment, providing a dynamic platform for enhancing talents and creating avenue for value preservation.

He said this is the 3rd Edition of the Plateau Awards and the awards are bestowed on those who have exemplified leadership, dedication, service, devotion to ideals of excellence and broad impact.
Most importantly, he said the awards are for those who have a strong desire to work to bring about social change and improve upon leadership in their respective fields of endeavours.

He called on the prospective recipients to continue to do more in terms of value addition to the society and humanity in order to justify the awards.

Guest Speaker at the event, Cmr. Steve Aluko-Daniel, Director Civil Society Organizations spoke on the topic “Nigeria and the quest for good leadership”

Miss Gift Matthew won the 2018 Face of Plateau Beauty Pageant and was crowned.

The event which took place at Crest Hotel Hall and was well attended by top entrepreneurs, captains of industries, traditional rulers, musicians, elders, elites, youth, women, comedians, public servants, top politicians and others.
